BodyCraft VR100 Rowing Machine Review

One look at the BodyCraft VR100 Rowing Machine and you would immediately think that it is an impressive rower. What can be surprising is taking a look at the price tag as it is conveniently placed within the entry-level market. Therefore, it does make you wonder if the machine can deliver what you want in a rower just by its looks alone. While it is a solidly built machine as it does look and feel sturdy enough, the performance levels leave much to be desired.

The BodyCraft VR100 Rowing Machine is Best Used for Entry-Level Users

Whenever you’re on the market for a good rowing machine, then you’re not purchasing it just to sit on it, and perhaps that goes the same when you’re thinking about getting the BodyCraft VR100 Rowing Machine. While the seat is reasonably supportive on this particular rowing machine, and it is one of the widest that you can see, but the foot braces do move a bit and it makes it quite difficult to row comfortably. Therefore, you would need to brace yourself, quite a bit as well, whenever you’re rowing on this machine. Even when you’re at the lower resistance levels, the feet braces still move a lot.

Another drawback for the BodyCraft VR100 is that the flywheel is too close to the track. If you’re quite new to rowing machines, the track is the column that you slide up and down on. Because of the closeness of the two elements, you would often bump it on the catch at the start and finish of the action. What happens is that it will cause you to slide on the seat and slip forward. In short, this is definitely not the best position to row.

This rowing machine has six levels of resistance. However, you would find that out of the six, there are only two that replicated anything like a good rowing action. If you opt for the higher intensity levels, they are far too tough, even for a fit person. Therefore, if did choose the higher resistance options, you won’t get the rhythm necessary for a good workout. After all, in order to have a fitter body, you would have to break your limits at one point, but this rower makes it too tough to do that.

While the BodyCraft VR100 Rowing Machine is a sturdily built machine, and it certainly looks the part, it is definitely not exciting to use. Furthermore, even if it is placed within the entry-level market, the price is still considerably high, especially when you consider its mundane and troublesome performance.
